About 1953 Truck Parts

1953 is the year Ford replaced the F1 with the F100 and gave the F-Series the name it still uses. Chevy and GMC carried on with Advance Design, though 1953 brought a revised grille and trim.

We build firewalls, floor and kick panels, bed corners, billet hardware, hidden fuel fillers and power window kits for the Chevy and GMC trucks, and cab sheet metal, billet hardware and RainGear hidden wiper systems for the new F100.

The 1953 Chevy truck range was the 3100 half-ton, 3600 three-quarter-ton and 3800 one-ton, plus Panel, Suburban and Canopy Express bodies. It was the last year the 216 Thriftmaster six was the standard engine; 1954 moved to the 235. The Chevy 3100 guide covers the year-to-year changes, and the VIN decoder confirms the year.
