Description
A billet glove box door and speaker grille cover for 1947–1953 Chevrolet and GMC trucks. Both pieces are CNC milled from 6061 aluminum and left in a machined finish, and the set includes the stainless latch and all required mounting hardware. The speaker grille cover has the ash tray deleted.

If you order custom engraving, we will contact you by email after the order comes in. Custom engraving can take up to two weeks to ship.
Not included
- The factory glove box hinges. The billet door mounts to the hinges already on your dash, using the four supplied 10-32 screws.
- A speaker. The grille cover is the cover only, and it deletes the ash tray.

Installation
The glove box door mounts to the factory hinges with the four supplied 10-32 3/8" stainless Phillips screws — the hinges themselves are not provided. The latch fastens to the door with the two 10-32 1/4" screws.
The speaker grille cover mounts to the dash on four 8-32 5/8" stainless Allen head studs with serrated flange nuts, and the Allen key for the studs is in the box.

Common questions
Will my radio fit the opening?
The slotted holes take factory post radios and the popular classic-style Bluetooth radios, including the ones we sell. A radio with a non-standard shaft spacing may still need the openings finished by hand - the panel is 18 gauge steel, so opening a hole is straightforward.
Is it pre-bent to the dash?
Yes, it is laser cut and pre-bent to the dash contour. It is meant to be a do-it-yourself repair for a dash that has already been cut for a single DIN player.
How do I know it fits my truck?
This part is listed for 1947–1953 Chevy and GMC 3100, 3600, 3800 and Suburban. The full year, make and model list is in the Truck Compatibility tab on this page. How long before it ships?
It is a stock item and leaves our warehouse in 1-3 business days. Transit after that is typically 2-5 business days in the United States. Larger orders can arrive in more than one box on different days.
What if it is not right for the truck?
You have 30 days from delivery to return it by mail. Return shipping is on you, and the part needs to come back uninstalled and unmodified - once a panel has been trimmed or welded it cannot go back. Made-to-order items are final sale. The full terms are on our returns page.
Can I install this myself?
It is designed for a home install with ordinary hand tools, and the fitment notes on this page list anything that needs drilling, trimming or welding. Where an installation guide or video exists for the part it is linked in the Installation tab.

The LS Fab guys are awesome and this dash is just one example of why. I found my truck almost 3 years ago and I was going to do a mild restoration and go cruising right away. Long story short I am nearing the end of year 3 and I am almost done. I just installed my Billet Dash and it is easily my favorite piece on the truck so far. The fit is perfect and the look is absolutely insane. Even my mother who doesn’t care much for vehicles said that dash is beautiful!! These pieces are jaw dropping out of the box and installation is a breeze. Just leave the middle dash piece loose until your glovebox door is mounted to make sure they line up and then tighten away. Great job guys and great piece!

Started building a 1949 Chevrolet 3100 2.5 years ago and had purchased a 2005 SSR Chassis and the body wouldn’t fit the chassis was to wide rather than scrap the project I decided to cut the truck in half and add 5” to make a long story short I had been watching some custom builds and LSFAB kept popping up after look at what they had to offer I called Kris at lsfab and asked if he would be interested in building a one off custom billet speaker grill that was 5” wider than the original lsfab could have told me to pound sand. NOPE That wasn’t the answer I got he informed me that the part would to have new jigs and programs made 24 hours later Kris sent the CAD Drawings for approval Got the billet speaker grill in yesterday what a piece of custom Billet he had made. Installed today and all I could do was to stare at it all day. Go to my FB and see the most bad ass truck. Thank you LSFAB 😎😎😎🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
