Description
This kit moves the gas cap into the taillight housing on a 1967–1972 Ford truck or a 1966–1977 Ford Bronco. It is a bolt-in, so there is no welding on the truck, and it gives you a hidden filler instead of one sitting in the bed floor.
Features
- No welding required — a bolt-in solution.
- CNC laser cut 18-gauge steel.
- Pre-formed and spot-welded assembly.
- High-polished 1.5" stainless steel LS-engraved fuel filler.
- Soft roller bearing stainless steel taillight hinge.
- Laser cut taillight mounting holes and stainless steel hardware.
Choose your options
- Driver side or passenger side
- Pre-welded bucket or standard bucket
- Standard screw on neck (included) or billet easy fill neck
- Red or smoked taillights — sold as a pair — or none if you already have a set of flat back LEDs
- Add two reverse lights
- Add the gas filler delete
Fitment notes
This kit requires flat-back LED taillights. It may not work with fuel nozzles that have a vapor-sealing or pressure-seal device, as required in some states. Off-road use only.
Not included
- 1.5" ID fuel filler hose and clamps.
- The fuel tank and sending unit.
- Flat-back LED taillights, unless you add the red or smoked pair. This kit requires flat-back LEDs - a factory-depth Ford housing will not clear the bucket.
- Paint or coating.

Installation
The kit bolts in, so no welding is needed on the truck. Stainless steel hardware and laser cut taillight mounting holes are part of it.
LS Fabrication does not currently offer a hose or plumbing kit between the filler and the fuel tank — plumbing design, routing and installation are the installer's responsibility. Hold the maximum downward slope you can from the filler neck to the tank. The kit does not provide tank venting either, so your fuel tank needs its own adequate vent system or you will see slow filling, splash-back and pump shutoff.

Common questions
Does the kit come with taillights, and will my stock Ford lights work?
Stock housings will not work. The kit needs flat-back LED taillights, because a factory-depth Ford housing will not clear the bucket. Add the red or smoked pair at the top of the page, or choose no taillights if you already have a set of flat-back LEDs.
What do I need to plumb it to the tank?
The hose or tube between the filler and the tank is not in the kit - we do not offer a plumbing kit, so the routing and connection are up to the installer. Keep the run as straight as you can, with as much downward slope from the neck to the tank as possible. The filler does not vent the tank either: the tank needs its own vent, or you can get slow filling, splash-back and the pump shutting off.
Will it work with every gas pump?
It may not work with fuel nozzles that carry a vapour sealing or pressure seal device, which some states require - California pumps are the usual example. It is best used with standard nozzles.
Do I have to weld it?
No. It is a bolt-in, so there is no welding on the truck.
How do I know it fits my truck?
This part is listed for 1967–1972 Ford Bronco, F100, F250 and F350. The full year, make and model list is in the Truck Compatibility tab on this page. If your truck has been modified, or you are between two of the year ranges we list, send us the year, make and model and we will confirm the fit before you order rather than after.
How long before it ships?
It is a stock item and generally ships within 1-3 business days. Carrier transit time is on top of that, and larger orders can arrive in more than one box on different days.
