Description
The Altman Easy Latch is a direct-replacement bear jaw rotary claw latch kit for 1968–1972 Ford trucks. It is vehicle specific rather than universal: every component is made to work with the handles, lock cylinders and interior rods already in your doors, so the latches go in with no cutting and no welding.

Installation
A bolt-on job. The kit is a direct replacement and needs no cutting or welding.
It works with your existing exterior and interior handles, exterior lock cylinders and factory interior lock rods, so nothing else in the door has to change.

Will it work with my factory handles?
Yes. The latches are vehicle specific and work with the stock exterior handles, interior handles and lock cylinders. A shaved-handle version is offered for doors with no outside handles where the option is listed at the top of the page.
Do I have to cut or weld?
No welding. The kit bolts on, and the jamb plates are contoured to match the factory features of your doors.
Does one kit do both doors?
Yes, one kit covers both doors.
How do I know it fits my truck?
This part is listed for 1968–1972 Ford Bronco, F100, F150, F250 and F350. The full year, make and model list is in the Truck Compatibility tab on this page. If your truck has been modified, or you are between two of the year ranges we list, send us the year, make and model and we will confirm the fit before you order rather than after.
What if it is not right for the truck?
You have 30 days from delivery to request a return. The part needs to come back new, uninstalled and in its original packaging - once a part has been trimmed or welded it cannot go back. Return shipping is at your cost, and we ask that returns come by Canada Post. Made-to-order, sale and clearance items are final sale. The full terms are on our returns page.
Can I install this myself?
It is designed for an at-home install. Read the fitment notes and the Installation tab on this page before you start for anything that needs drilling, trimming or welding, and where an installation guide or video exists for the part it is linked there.
