About Tilt Bed Hinge Kits

A tilt bed hinge kit lets the bed floor of a custom truck pivot up as one panel — for hidden storage, access to a fuel cell or air tank, or simply to show the chassis underneath. The hinges have to carry the floor’s weight off-centre and hold position under load, which is why scissor hinges are used instead of a plain barrel hinge.

What is in this collection

  • TRE5 billet aluminum tilt bed scissor hinges
  • Universal tilt bed scissor hinges, sold as a pair in stainless steel or billet aluminum
  • Electric tilt bed lifts, for powered lift assist instead of doing it by hand

Universal fit

Everything here is make and model agnostic. The same hinges are used on tilting bed floors, hoods, tonneau panels and custom compartments, so there is no year range to match — only the weight and the travel you need.

Where these usually end up

A tilt floor is a common move on a lowered S10 or a bagged Squarebody. The rest of the universal hardware is in universal truck parts and accessories, and the machined versions are listed with our billet aluminum truck parts.
