Description
These Tailgate Latch Kits will come with everything you need to swap out your old tailgate hardware to this new kit. The kit reuses your factory handle and rods that connect the handle to the latches. Installation requires ZERO welding. Cutting is also limited to just the removal of one tab per side, which is then covered up by the new latch mounting plate. All the holes for mounting are existing holes. One per side needs to be modified/ drilled out/ enlarged to accommodate a nutsert (provided with the kit). This is a fairly easy install that most anyone can handle. It will not damage the factory paint at all, as long as you're careful cutting off the tab in the tail gate jamb area. The brackets come in raw steel so that you can paint match them to your truck.

Installation

What is in the kit, and what do I reuse?
Two latches, two latch mounts, two bed bracket and cable mounts, two tailgate cables, templates and the additional mounting hardware. Your factory handle, the rods that run from it to the latches and the factory latch hardware are all reused.
Will this fix a gate that will not close square?
A worn latch mechanism is the usual cause and the kit replaces it, but a sagging gate is normally the trunnions or hinges rather than the latch. If the gate drops at one end when it is closed, start with the trunnion and hinge kit for your year.
How do I know it fits my truck?

How long before it ships?
It is a stock item and generally ships within 1-3 business days. Carrier transit time is on top of that, and larger orders can arrive in more than one box on different days.
What if it is not right for the truck?
You have 30 days from delivery to request a return. The part needs to come back new, uninstalled and in its original packaging - once a part has been trimmed or welded it cannot go back.
