Description
This filler moves the fuel fill to the inside box panel of a 1967–1987 Chevy or GMC bed instead of sitting flush in the middle of the bed floor. It is an affordable and convenient spot, and it keeps the filler out from underfoot.
Features
- Raw 18 gauge mild steel, pre-formed and tacked together in case slight modifications are needed for your application.
- Weld it in, or screw it in with the supplied hardware.
- Includes our 316 stainless filler neck with a polished face and a laser-engraved LS logo.
- Flip-up cap for keyless opening and closing, with a stainless steel retaining chain so the cap stays with the truck.
- Flange with three tapered mounting holes, and stainless steel mounting hardware.
Filler neck dimensions
- Flange diameter 2-15/16".
- Neck diameter 1-1/2".
- Neck length 2-1/4".
Choose your option

Installation
The panel welds in, or screws in with the supplied hardware. It ships pre-formed and tacked together, so there is room to adjust it if your bed needs it.

Common questions
Will it drop straight into my bed?
Expect to modify the base slightly. The panel is built to cover a range of years, and no two beds underneath it are the same - a 67-72 floor, a 73-87 floor, a wood floor and a floor with a spray-in liner all sit at different heights. That is why the part ships in raw steel, pre-formed and only tacked together, so you can adjust it to your own bed before it goes in for good.
Can it be welded in, or does it screw in?
Either. Weld it in for a seamless finish, or screw it in using the supplied stainless hardware and the three tapered mounting holes in the flange. Customers have also riveted and bonded them in. The choice is yours.
What are the filler neck dimensions?
Flange diameter 2-15/16", neck diameter 1-1/2", neck length 2-1/4". A universal fill tube joins the neck to the tank, and a side fill tank in 1.5" is the simplest thing to run it into.
Is it sealed against water?
The flip-up cap closes onto the neck face and the retaining chain keeps the cap with the truck, but this is a fuel filler, not a watertight hatch. Anything mounted in a bed floor will see water sitting on it, so seal the panel to the floor when you fit it and treat the cap as a fuel cap rather than a gasketed lid.
How do I know it fits my truck?
This part is listed for 1967–1987 Chevy and GMC Blazer, C10, C20, C30, Jimmy, K10 and others. The full year, make and model list is in the Truck Compatibility tab on this page. If your truck has been modified, or you are between two of the year ranges we list, send us the year, make and model and we will confirm the fit before you order rather than after.
How long before it ships?
It is a stock item and leaves our warehouse in 1-3 business days. Transit after that is typically 2-5 business days in the United States. Larger orders can arrive in more than one box on different days.

Waiting on fuel tank to finish job.

This panel does not fit the channel of the bed floor in a 1967-1972 pickup. It does fit perfectly into a 73-87, however.
We purchased this for a 1971 C10 we are building for a customer. Unfortunately, we discovered the poor fit in these era pickups upon arrival. I was able to test it in other customer rigs within the 73-87 span, and it matches the floor perfectly.
We spent some time radiusing it to fit the bed floor better, but no matter what, there will be a visible gap due to the design. I wish that LS Fab would remove the 67-72 compatibility span from this product, as it would have saved a headache for the customer and I.
The cost of shipping it back to Canada and paying a restocking fee outweighs the return one would receive so we are stuck with it.

Nice clean filler freestyle up the bed

The fuel filler is good quality and nicely welded. Being designed to cover a wide range of years, it did not perfectly fit the bed of the 1969 c10 though. With a little modification it looks good and fits well.

An affordable way to fill the rear mount tank. A little fabrication involved. I used 3 nutserts into the bed and post to attached with bolts, so it can be easily removed if needed. I drilled 2 holes to be able to access 2 of bolts and gain access to the hose clamp, the third mount I was able to get to thru the top opening. Will cover the holes with flush plugs and this will be coated in bed liner paint as the rest of the bed will be, should blend in and be out of the way. but overall, pleased with how it turned out.

Very nicely made however . Design could be revamped as it’s very difficult to get a hose clamp on inside the housing.

Very great group to work with. They only offered the in box fuel filler for the left side and I called and they made the part for the right side for me custom. Awesome parts guys

Great fit and small enough to be discreet. Would recommend to use stainless or chrome moly so the tube and be extended.
