**Taillight fuel filler kits may not work with fuel nozzles which have vapour sealing device or pressure seals like in California.**
Please refer to photos for what is all included in the taillight fuel filler kit. It will come with the sides tacked in place as well as the double push magnet shown and polished fuel filler is 1.5" diameter.
*If you add on the LED taillights, or the Reverse Lights - they are sold as a pair and include a flasher*
Important Installation Notice:
LS Fabrication does not currently offer a hose or plumbing kit for connecting the tail light fuel filler to the fuel tank. Therefore, all plumbing design, routing, and installation are the responsibility of the installer.
The tail light fuel filler does not provide tank venting. Proper venting must be supplied by the fuel tank itself. Aftermarket fuel tanks should be equipped with an adequate vent system. This helps prevent slow filling, fuel splash-back, or pump shutoff issues.

I made a couple of alterations. I had to cut approximately 3/16 off the top to make it fit under the backup light. I also epoxied a 3/32 strip of metal to the bottom of the door below the hinge and tapped it for the screw for the taillight. I also drilled a hole in the bottom to accommodate a rubber grommet for the wiring. The LED taillights required some filing and sanding to make them fit. The original lenses are slightly tapered which the LED’s are straight. It took a lot of finessing in order to get it to open and close like shown in the installation video but it still fits quite snug. I’m not sure if the taillights on my 72 blazer are slightly narrower and vertically shorter than the aftermarket truck the was used in the video. I like the concept but the installation didn’t go nearly as easy as in the video. Without having previous experience in fabrication and having all of the tools required, it may have posed a significant challenge. One more suggestion is to have a few more welds along the top portion as there were some fairly large gaps that I had to address.

Well I am no body guy. And never put one of these in before but was trying to do more for the customer. And the video on line that they posted was a big help, I prepped the taillight pocket Friday. And Monday when I received the filler door I installed it Tuesday. By 3 pm Tuesday I was filling it with fuel. Customer was so very happy and so was I. It looks great. And he has more miles on the truck since I finished the job then the last 10 years.
